New Minister of Culture to decide on Legalizing Football Betting

The new Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hoang Tuan Anh, said that he will decide on whether to legalized football (soccer) betting in Vietnam.

Sports betting is quite common around the world and I think Vietnam should legalize it.

Vietnamese like to gamble and will enjoy the rights to gamble legally. Many Vietnamese are already placing their bets through underground brokers and if sports gambling were to be legalized, the government would be able to collect taxes which could be huge--the underground betting market is thought to gross "sales" of up to billions of dong (millions USD).
